Trek for Life and Peddle Your Butte Off! are annual fundraising events in the fight to prevent suicide and to provide mental health services for those living in high altitude communities. 100% of the money raised is earmarked for individuals who cannot afford them, are either underinsured or who have no insurance at all.

Our goals are to raise awareness about mental health issues in the community, eliminate the stigma associated with mental health illness, to provide community education, and spark new research that will provide a better understanding of the complex factors behind the high rates of suicide and mental illness among those living at high altitudes.

Suicide is at epidemic levels in these communities (3 times the national average in 2019) and has touched just about everyone in communities like Crested Butte, Colorado is so desperately needed.
